I don't think anyone really cares about what someone else wants or not. All we are doing is just trying to fulfil our own set of goals, either by coercing, convincing or aligning others goals to our ones, in an optimal fashion. It's really as simple as that.
And goodness of a thing is such a poor way of measuring its value.
